  • Down in the dumps - dont even feel like gardening.

Hope you are all having a better day than me.

Poor hubbie has come off worst - feel angry for no reason at all, keep bursting into tears and just cant be bothered to do anything even though I just have so much to do.

Glad I stuck to my guns and got us out as a family (unheard of for us), we went swimming earlier but now I feel so knackered - it even hurts to type.

Annoyed with myself because weather (as forcast for once) has been fine today if a little windy and I could have got loads done. Forcast for rest of weekend not so good and bet ya bottom dollar I will feel fine tomorrow but weather will be rubbish.

Tell me what you been up to today - you will either cheer me up or make me feel worse!! LOL !!!

We all have days like that FD!!!

...today was slow and wasteful for us...never even got to the lottie- even though we had TONNES to do!!

Went to 2 garden centres and now I'm about to make supper

If we can just water the tubs I'll at least feel something +ve will have been done today ...well my plan is I'll cook , having unreeled the hose first... ( nothing like a subtle hint eh?????)

It's not going to rain tomorrow...have a few drinks, an early night...and start afresh tomorrow...you'll be full of beans by then ( either that or you're coming down with something else!!!

I supose I did manage two washes, swept the patio, went swimming and am now cooking meatballs for the first time ever. We too will be doing the rounds of watering before we retire. Just wish I didnt have these sore eyes. Really feel like a nice long alcholic drink but dont know if that will make me feel worse?

You poor thing - is there a reason for your general crappiness? (or can we play diagnose findon.dandy)
I have fibromyalgia - so I can sympathise with the yuckness and sore eyes.
          Hope tomorrow is better.

            Hi

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too chipper.

If it is any consolation, we did an hour and a half at the lottie today in the flippin wind; it wasn't nice. I dug over a bed which i had dug over not 3 weeks ago and the couch grass under the soil was a sight to behold. One minute you are hot, so you take off the jumper; then it blows really hard and you are freezing, so put the jumper back on, then the hair blows out of the ponytail and you have to stop and sort that out...then the wind blows dust in your eye; then the bucket you are putting couch grass into blows over and you have to chase after it...best staying in if you ask me - too much like hard work before you even pick a fork up.

If you are feeling angry; then something deep down is bugging you. I sometimes feel like this, and a good session digging or humping stuff around usually disperses it; I have to be careful of my elbow and back so it takes ages for me to dig any bed over...

Hope tomorrow brings some energy to get stuff done. If not, just enjoy the weekend - whatever it is you want to do can wait.

could make you feel worse by telling tou what we got done but had its downfalls!needed 2 leave house by 8:30 to get chichens,1st day in ages kiddies sleep til 8:00(they're our w/e alarm clock) so left without proper brekkie.didn't feed them their oh so healthy co-op sausage roll till 1:30;after a morning of moaning @ them 2 leave the chooks 2 settle in,mid arvo treated them 2 some even healthier sweeties just 4 a bit of peace;finally got home about 7 to feed them tinned spag & cheese sarnies!so yep we maybe got bit more done at lottie than you but sounds like you were far better mum!!

Sorry you're feeling down in the dumps. Hope you can find your way out of it soon, perhaps you just need some time for yourself if you're a busy mum and wife. Unless you have plants that are going to die if you don't tend to them I wouldn't worry about the garden, it will all be there for another day.

Could be worse, you could be Andy whathisname who's just sung for us on Eurovision. He wasn't bad, but he's got to sit there in front of millions while Greece votes for Turkey, and Serbia for Croatia etc. and no one votes for us.

Hope tomorrow brings a bright sunny day for you and lots of energy to cope with whatever you have to do.

I get days like that all the time, my oh knows just to keep clear of me until the mood has passed.
I find taking my dog out for a walk helps clear my head and calm me down, maybe some fresh air might help you too...

FD you sound like me with PMT... Before I had Bradley (my 2nd, now 9 months old) I was never hormonal and couldn't understand what PMT was all about.

No I can tell mile off as I wake up with the raging 'ump over nothing and I'm barely civl to anyone . Worst thing is, I know I'm doing it but it's like I can't help it

FD, I think you should have a chat with your GP. There's no need to suffer in silence. There is help out there. I hope you will feel beter soon.

my day started off pretty crap - my kids have lived with me for years (almost entirely since birth) but my daughter moved out couple of months ago to live with her mother, the same mother that never really bothered with the kids all that time ...

my daughter was here last night and this morning she said she's making the move permanent - said she's never coming back - and she means it - transferring from the best school in the borough to the worst - she's cleaned out her room - she's gone ....

but i've got a son to think about too and he's still here so i have to put the hurt to one side and keep my chin up - we went and played golf and tennis, i trimmed the hedge and swept the drive, did a couple of loads of washing, took the dog for a long walk, watched telly with him, and now he's asleep on my bed

                          tomorrow's another day .......

                            Dear Finedon.Dandy

you sound like me today, for sanctuary, i went for a little cry in the greenhouse!! Not normally like this at all, but think the change is a looming!!!!! (only 40, but mum and gran were earlier!!)

I have felt really down, sometimes you can do everything and that everything is still never enough!

I never did one thing in the garden either, so hoping that tomorrow is a better day for us all - whoops, it already is the morning!!!

                            Night night x
