  • Llangollen Gardening Show

I have just won 2 tickets to a new gardening show at Llangollen, North Wales from GYO magazine (thanks GYO, much appreciated), but I have received another 2 today which I have won from another magazine. As I don't know anyone else who wants to go (other than my long-suffering O.H.!) I thought I would offer 2 to any grape who would like them. They are for Saturday / Sunday 29th & 30th July (can be used either day). It's a new show & probably not very big but has a Bayer Garden roadshow, plant sales, garden prducts, garden design displays, demonstration theatre & chef demos. Llangollen itself is lovely with horsedrawn canal boat trips, railway with steam trains, a ruined abbey & national Trust house nearby. If you would like the tickets please send me a PM.(They're Free!)

Gosh! Lucky you Sue. I would love to go but my father is in hospital and we just don't know where he will be then. Be sure to put the lottery on - it must be your lucky week!

Sorry about your father Lesley, hope everything goes well. My O.H. is always saying why can't I win something useful like a widescreen T.V. or £10,000 pounds instead of garden show tickets (I've won ones to Tatton & Harrogate in the past) as he's not into gardening!
Rat it's a wonder you have time to go anywhere with your umpteen jobs & your new business venture! Do you ever get the chance to actually sit & enjoy your garden?

Nowhere near as much as I'd like to - it's now got to the stage where I spend half an hour weeding from 6.00am til 6.30 when I have to leave for work. Evenings are spent watering and checking for bugs etc.

Oh! Go on Sue! I would love them. It would give us a break from the hospital visiting.

Guess you won't be going to T&M's open day in Ipswich over the same weekend?

No, was trying to persuade O.H. to take me but he said he wasn't going all that way just to look at a few flowers in a trial field & then I won the show tickets & he was happier to go there!

Lesley you were right- I won the lottery on Saturday! Only £10 mind you so I won't be retiring to the country just yet!
