Ugly New Icons

Sorry, but I think the new Mom and status Icons are horrid. Not sure about the less obvious 'post in thread' ones either

cheer up paulottie it is only a web site and forum.
from what i have seen and read since the changes it does'nt seem to have altered the quality of chat, welcomes and great advice. and after all we are here for the gardening camarardrie. some don't like change for changes sake but it has'nt changed the grapes or the vine at all.

I think it has a fresh clean look about it now - but we are all different in what we like and don't like .... thankfully.

I like the new 'wide screen' thing...and the overall format an improvement ...just the icons. You're right though -little bit depressed about things this morning...going for a smile now....mmm...that was a grimace...try again...almost there.

The icons ARE a bit stark and minimalist. However, I wouldn't want 'em with chintz curtains either! It's nothing we won't get used to very quickly and, as has been said, that's not what we're here for. It's a great site for helpful, non-critical advice and support in difficult times - over and above the call of duty I'd say!

I'd like the Offline and Online buttons to be a bit more distinct ... different colours perhaps? Apart from that, it's all fine.

For the sake of a winge I'd like the online/offline buttons to be half the length they are now....why have "online now"? surely you're either online or offline?
Other than that its all good to me!!
