Worried about my dog - can't sleep.

Havin trouble sleeping anyways, and when I went down to kitchen about and hour ago to get a drink, left door slightly open so dogs took full advantage and came upstairs to lay on couch with me!
Anyhoo, Boo got up and made some sicky noises on landing, so I gets up to take her down so she can go out, then she does some weird collapse on landing. I honestly thought she was a goner cos she looked so rough and didn't move. Called Steve out of bed and after about a minute she gets up, slowly goes downstairs and goes into her bed.
We go back to bed, but I just can't sleep now even though I'm knackered. Crept back down a minute ago, her eyes seem a little brighter and she had a drink of milk (turned her nose up at water), Max thoroughly disgusted cos he didn't get offered any.
I've a feeling its going to be a long night as I'm a worrier by nature.

had have a labrador for 19 years And when she wasnt getting any attention or didnt want todo somthing she put a limp on ,It was really funny as 5 min later she forgot what leg it was and started limping on the other .I hope its nothing more then somthing like that in your case .

Just been woken up by postman battering on the door, Boo had sneaked up and was on bed with me! Seems perfectly ok this morning, must have just had dog version of headrush you get if you get up too quickly.
She is a happy puppy this morning and I for one am very relieved.

I went through a spell of collapsing some years ago - when you get up to my height, oxygen gets a little thin so you have to get up slowly, allow the body to adjust. Maybe it was the same for Boo going up the stairs?

Glad things seem to be sorted.

Really good news about Boo. They are such a worry aren't they? Was awake for a good part of last night too. Our Lab doesn't like thunder storms so came on to the bed with us. Problem was there was no chance of sleeping because the bed was shaking so much because of her trembling. If I had known you couldn't sleep, we could have had a chat.

Glad your dog seems to be ok now, they're a worry aren't they? You weren't the only one awake in the wee small hours. Our old boxer had me awake at 3.15am having a seizure (she's on tablets for them), they only last a few mins but then she wants to go outside and comes back in and wanders round the house in a bit of a daze for a while by which time I'm wide awake. Couldn't rest after that for a while and just going back to sleep when she got me up again at 5.30 to go out again, not much hope of getting back to sleep before alarm at 5.50am. Early night for me tonight

And me!!
She's been fine all day, a bit quiet first thing, but she's not really that boisterous anyway which admittedly is odd for a boxer, but since the having pups she's been calmer. I rexckon she lets Max take care of the bouncing so she gets all the cuddles for being a good girl!! eating and drinking ok, will treat last night as a blip, any repeat performance will be an immediate trip to the vet for a thorough check up.

I love boxers, they are one of the greatest breeds, as well as GSD's. They would be my next choice for a dog, but still cant get over losing my GSD, Rosey, in October, so will be a while yet.
