Oh the look on that lass's face as she nibbled a bit of nasturtium!
(sorry but I wanted to slap 'er)

How pathetic was that!! There we had on one hand a 'veggie' eating lungs and saying 'oh not bad actually' and a meat eater growing, erm, green at the nasturtium in her mouth - stupid girls both of them

Interesting how nobody's mentioned his triangular (or at least not squared) raised beds...

              Picky people that we are......

As I understand it Hugh 'chose' the shape as the best he could do in the space available.

              Joe 'designed' his.

              Unfair aren't we!

I really do love our Hugh but this trainee-veggie-meat-eating-butcher is driving me nuts and so bloody stupid and clearly oh so clearly a '15-mins-fame' filler

Says TVMEB: I really want to eat meat but I need help
WTF give it up girl, you are one step away from being a Jade Goodie

I liked the bee/honey piece, the lad in Hackney - what a character

Hugh can get away with not square beds as he has always been rough and ready when it comes to garden design and never said he was a professional gardener, and cut his teeth at river cottage in the early days like we all do in the start.

Joe on the other hand is a professional garden designer and should know the most economic use of ground is rectangle beds and he was trying to prove the point that he could feed his family from his allotment so productivity of the ground should have been more important than a fancy design.

Also the scaffold boards the residents got looked more like throw aways than joes pristeen planks .

I also think they made a mistake in the trainee butcher because if you want to eat meat then you just do it , and it could also be taken the wrong way by the vegetarian comunity as hugh thinks all people should eat meat as infact he has always inbraced the eating of vegetables.

I got the impression from last nights program that she had a phobia about meat which is why she stopped eating it rather than any real desire to be a vegetarian.

I also enjoyed the bee story.
