Roast wet garlic - as in green garlic? Deffo going to watch the repeat tonight on more4 so (our channel 4 reception is dreadful these days - summer atmosphere!!) so - haven't that much growing this year, but there is one bunch which sprouted from a missed bulb last summer - so I am willing to sacrifice some of those bulbs to an experimental cause!!

Oh - champers done in a bucket not proper brewing stuff - I'm on for that (see Wings nab all the elderflowers on the plot tomorrow morning!!).

And bringing home some garlic too for experimental purposes - pity the IL's are staying over the weekend (not huge garlic fans - we're talking a serious meat and 2 veg with spuds FIL, although MIL is a bit more experimental). Oh well, fresh new spuds should keep him happy!!

I had half in mind a trip - not quite at first light, but about 7am - to get my work done on the plot and still have beds made before IL's arrive (due about 12ish). Now, as the elderflowers are calling - it's cemented in my little brain......

I watched this week's programme; and as soon as he made the garlic bhajees I had to float out of the room onto t'internet for the recipe and on thursday evening made THE most fabulous onion bhajees - honestly, they were delicious.
I can't watch any of the slaughter/fishing/animal stuff; don't eat meat, don't like it, don't like watching other people doing it either - as soon as it comes on I have to leave the room.
