What is the world coming to - so sorry to see this destruction - pointless in the extreme.

Hope the police can get who did the deed - that is if they can be bothered.

Hopefully insurance will help - but that's seriously not the point. Looks like a 'neat' job. Any thoughts as to who might have a grudge - run on the mill vandals would just take a quick punt and be gone - they'd not be so careful about noise. This does looked 'planned' and with a very 'neat' fall of the trees and shrubs perpetrated. Possibly the work of at least 2 people as the drop of the tree would be likely to awake neighbours or yourself?

I'm quite sure that the whoever/s did this will have some misfortune befall them in due course.

A terrible deed indeed. But on the upside, think of all that extra lovely light coming into your downstairs room now.

How and why though, the mind of some people is beyond explanation.

                    Thanks for your messages everyone...

We've never had any complaints about the trees (except from me, when the leaves fall!), but we've had "dealings" with our neighbours about their planning permission. But, all their plans have been approved and they've started building etc now. We've not had anything to do with them for a couple of months now.

What has upset me more, is that it seems to be a deliberate attack on us; and I'm now worried about anything else that could happen, and our animals (2 dogs, 4 hens and 2 rabbits). We'd been out this afternoon, and I felt sick as we approached the house, worrying about what else might have happened

TBH, we'd been toying with the idea of re-doing some of the front garden and geting rid of a couple of the bushes (but nothing that drastic!). It's the personal aspect of the vandalism that has really got to me

OWG - you have your photographic evidence so have you moved the offending trees which were left obstructing the pavement and slightly the road?

Knowing what councils are like these days - they'd be just as likely to dish out a littering, fly tipping or obstruction fine even though YOU are the victim.

If you are that worried (and i can understand why) get some cctv set up, or just set up a camcorder in your living room, that way if something did happen you have them on camera and can then take it to the police
Life isnt about surviving the storm.....But learning to dance in the rain.

Oh wow! Poor you! It must have been planned - otherwise whoever did it wouldn't have known to be so quite as to not wake the dogs!

I still have those saplings for you - I'm trying to find a box long enough to put them in!

I'd go for the camcorder/cctv option if you can - assuming there is anything left to vandalise!
