News update!
OH was off work today (he had a minor op this morning)...came home to find some very nice chaps digging up the road.........
"oh", says OH, "we thought you were digging up our garden"
"no" says workman "its too much hassle to put things right, so we are digging up the road instead"
"by the way, could I do you have a socket I could borrow? the saw is playing up and won't work properly?"
"no probs" says OH
Came home from work tonight, to see the channel started in the road!
A happy ending for all!
Thanks for all your advice and help - methinks the threat of having to replace 400+ bulbs in the rockery could poss have done the trick!
