I'm off that week, otherwise weekends work better for me to. Problem is weekends get booked up pretty quickly for us.

Was going to have a "business" lunch during the working week, but with a few conferences, sales meeting and the week off I need to be in the office as much as possible.

Is it "business" lunch distance from you?

Know what you mean - weekends tend to be busy here too (spech as OH has two teens who dont live with us but always seem to be doing something needing our attention )

Its about 50 mins from home to Wendover so normally perfectly do-able, but I only get an hours lunch and definitely would never get a 'business lunch' - I'm just an admin/PA bod y'no! Still in Big Major Sulky Mode ....

Ah, I know where you are, smacks hand should have known better, I lived in Naphill for just under a year and that's all of 4 miles as the crow flies.

Would love a nice bit of mutton, well I would wouldn't I being surrounded by them, but I only get an hour for lunch, and they'd string me up by my cahoonahs, if I booked a call down there. Hope you enjoy beauts, have a pint of 'directors' for me, unless they have a really nice real ale, like 'roger over and out'.

I used to live in Wendover for fourteen years, and know The Shoulder of Mutton.....may i suggest The Chequers at Weston Turville instead?, it's only two miles up the road and is a million times better in my opinion.

Wellie lived opposite The Chequers for fifteen years, and she doesn't have a bad word to say about it.

I helpfully pointed out that he may also be 'bigging up' The Chequers unnecessarily, and that after 10 years now it could be complete Shite, which would make me look like a prize plonker.
