My youngest sister lives in Australia and has done for about 10 years. She has a deal with her phone company that gives her unlimited calls to the UK.

I probably speak with her more now than ever....plus if it's really important to see each other we webcam whilst on the phone.

Also the quality of the call from Australia seems to be far superior to that to Portsmouth where my other sister lives.

Sometimes my parents are talking to my sister for more than a couple of hours at a time. It's like she's never gone!

thanks Shirl and Capsid for being more on the ball than i am !! unfortunately working all day today,

MSN and Skype is easy peesy and so simple to contact each other on, also the telephone people, you dial a specific number to that country and then their number and its so cheap! but if you skype, its free, so thats even better!

Glad you ok today, it will get easier, try and pluck up the courage to fly out one day, you would have a whale of a time xx

Squashysu, I am sure I will go out, she is such a good friend, but the even the thought of that long on a pppppplane make me feel queasy!
She flies out today, this afternoon- feel bit numb.
They will be so far away, I wont be able to help them, I think that worries me most. I know they have many friends (they lovely people) so there will always be help should they need it. It's just that I can't help.

Hey, it's not that far in the virtual world!

Plus, although it's about 10,000 miles by plane, it's only about 7,900 as the mole burrows. You've got a spade already, get digging!

Hope this afternoon goes well and you're not too sad, just think of it like our friends do - it's another place in the world to visit.
