i was forced on a blind date and met my OH, snogged him on the first date so must have fancied him. 2 months later he lost his dad, it made us stronger, 1 year later he lost his mam, it made us stronger, we're getting married next year and although we're complete opposites (me eco/green, self suffiency type. him beer guzzling, bad diet, scared of sunlight etc) i know he is the one for me because we got through such tough times together, and he's cute!!

I have a channel on YouTube, not called Gary66, but I go by the snazzy handle of BradThunder (don't ask!). I did a video last year called Accent Challenge: Some Choice Scottish Phraseology in which I tasked folks to try some, well, choice Scottish phraseology, with the likes of "It's a braw, bricht, moonlicht nicht, the nicht!" and such. Anyway, Annie - who on the 12th of next month will be tying knots with me in her hometown of Bristol, Rhode Island, before I whisk her back here for, well, ever - has done some 'way the hell off Broadway' theater and was searching for a video to give her some pointers for a Scottish brogue to help her with a part in a local production of Brigadoon. She found mine. It didn't help in that respect as she ended up sounding like some crack-addled leprechaun instead. It did however, herald the start of something rather wonderful and of course, we now make videos together! Oh, and I got another subscriber too! Never thought that when I started my channel it would lead to the woman I'd spend the rest of my life with!
Smile! It's the curve that can set a lot of things straight!

I saw a man called Mr Cheesy writing in the 'chat' column of our local FreeAds paper, all the girls were round him 'like bees to a honeypot'.

We started writing privately. Finally exchanged photos and real names almost exactly 2 years later. Dated for two years, then after he'd been away on business for a few days, he took me out to dinner (should have smelt a rat - coz he actually booked a taxi, which he never does!), and after the main course, he produced a little black box, which had a note inside saying 'I owe you a ring - Marry Me'. We celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary last month.
