Here Here for TS, waitrose is a good supermarket, some items are on the pricier side, however they do seem to keep the hard to come by/obscure product, their Domaine Gerard Thomas (burgandy) beats all others in my opinion

Oh, Shirl, you gotta go! The Cardiff store (opening soon) will take Waitrose’s tally to four in South Wales, with the others in Monmouth, Abergavenny and Barry.Waitrose to open its first store in Cardiff - icWales

Over four hours round trip driving to go to a supermarket?! I suspect not before the cost of diesel drops by a lot!!

God I love Waitrose. I actually look forward to my bi-monthly shop there. It takes me a full three hours (and most of our disposable income) to complete each shop. Ours is gorgeously stocked with lots of local produce, amazing fish counter, and lovely wine. The ONLY things that I cannot get there are fenugreek and spring roll wrappers, but the Chinese supermarket's just around the corner!

Occasionally, I keep receipts from particularly good trips. Why do I admit these things? Why?
              I don't roll on Shabbos

We have a Waitrose in Huntingdon, where I used to live. Dad loved shopping there, mostly for butchery and fish counters and the sheer choice of fruit and veg.
I always intend to go in when I'm doing parent/sibling visits but always forget.

I have had no choice, seems to me that they only build RAF bases where Waitrose is the local 'Spar' ........seriously, how lucky am I that in the last three units it has been the ONLY supermarket within walking distance.

I'm blessed, I live in a quiet sleepy village, yet have 3 tescos (2 are extras), a somerfield, a aldi's, a lidl, a asda, a sainsbury's, a waitrose, a spar, a londis all within 10 minutes drive. I like the ability to pick and choose what to buy where. For example londis have had weetabix 48 for 99p for months, whereas tescos are £3.24, they are still 1.19 in londis, shopping around really does mean every little helps.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Sundried tomato puree is so good that if I can get that, I don't use the other!

What I just love about Waitrose is that I have a John Lewis Mastercard, and I can 'self scan' at Waitrose. Don't have to queue at checkouts.
