Can I put a bid in for a trusty Swoe.

Wilkinson Sword W/S601470W - Stainless Steel Swoe 601470w at PVR Direct.co.uk

For those that plant things WAY too close together, ie me; this is a godsend as you can get right in amongst things and dig out deeper roots all at arm's length.

Plus it is WAY lighter than a hoe; and I'm a lightweight.

I like the Swoe and think it is a real pleasure to use, but after my third one broke on my heavy clay soil I'm afraid I am back to using the old dutch hoe. The three handles make handy supports for largish plants, but the three blades had to be binned.

hahahaha, the word Zulu just makes me laugh. My hoe thang same with plastic covers of the cultivator end. I scoffed at them at first, but then I stabbed my leg. Doh! I also use my as a weed whip (what are those thing called? scythe? machete) on the really tall weeds on the side of the garden.

Thanks to a previous thread by Mrs D, I've got a wolf hoe/3 pronged fork thingy - use one one way then turn it over and use it as a fork. Brill.
Having said that, I've got two hoes which we inherited with the house and I think they must be years old - OH sharpens them for me and away I go!
