Can I put a bid in for a trusty Swoe.
Wilkinson Sword W/S601470W - Stainless Steel Swoe 601470w at PVR Direct.co.uk
For those that plant things WAY too close together, ie me; this is a godsend as you can get right in amongst things and dig out deeper roots all at arm's length.
Plus it is WAY lighter than a hoe; and I'm a lightweight.Last edited by zazen999; 18-06-2008, 01:59 PM.

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

hahahaha, the word Zulu just makes me laugh. My hoe thang same with plastic covers of the cultivator end. I scoffed at them at first, but then I stabbed my leg. Doh! I also use my as a weed whip (what are those thing called? scythe? machete) on the really tall weeds on the side of the garden. The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it. -John Ruskin

Thanks to a previous thread by Mrs D, I've got a wolf hoe/3 pronged fork thingy - use one one way then turn it over and use it as a fork. Brill.
Having said that, I've got two hoes which we inherited with the house and I think they must be years old - OH sharpens them for me and away I go!Bernie aka DDL
Appreciate the little things in life because one day you will realise they are the big things
