Grey mould on my marrow leaves

Hi Everyone

Does anyone know what to do about a grey powdery mould on my marrow leaves?
We had one of the marrows for supper -it really tasted good with some butter and black pepper - but I don't want the mould/whatever to kill the plants.

I've two marrow plants in a very large stone trough. There are loads of small marrows coming.

This is the first time that I've grown marrows so would welcome some advice or help?

There's really not a lot you can do about powdery mildew. This problem comes up every year starting about now. I personally wouldn't want to start spraying chemicals on to fruit I'm intending to eat. The mildew is slow to react on the plant although it will eventually destroy the leaves. I get this every year on my courgettes and marrows and they still crop well. Carefully cut off the worse affected leaves and bag them up to dispose of. The plant should be forming new leaves all the time.
