careful, there is a fine line between being charitable and being made to look like a mug at work. If she really is distracting you, you are not working as efficiently and your boss will eventually notice. It sounds to me like she needs to be given more work to do, busy people don't tend to sit around yakking. Every workplace seems to have one, be grateful yours doesn't smell of cat pee and grind her teeth.

Seriously though, I think I'm going to have to speak to my boss as she's starting to stress me out quite a bit and I'm snapping at people when I never used to.
I think I'd find it easier to deal with if she wasn't so nice though . Why can't she be horrid too? lolShortie

hehe. No, I work from home.
I think Gasbag Bess is on the brink of going postal...
Actually, I think one can take politeness to the point of rudeness. I mean, obviously Bess is stuck in some sort of sado-masochistic gabby cycle where she ends up feeling unloved and neglected.
Somebody, get her some workplace counselling, ASAP, please!
Er, that's the best dime-store psychology I can muster before my morning coffee .

I quite feel sorry for Gasbag, after reading all this!
Saying that, Wayne's suggestion is still my fave. That or random 'NANOO! NANOO!' shouts directed at her workstation, with the appropriate hand movements. You could always try re-enacting classic 'karate kid' clips, such as 'wax on...wax off' and the ole chopsticks-catching-flies trick. Without sound, though. Much more dramatic!
"Sado-masochistic gabby cycle" - this HAS to be the phrase of the week!!

If you ever want to try, one of the best Welsh tasting welsh cakes ever ever. check these out.Maddocks Don't know how well they travel, but as they say in Llanelli, they're lush.
I've been tempted to try making them but have no idea where to get a proper bake stone from.... mind you, it's probably a good job I don't make them for my waistline's sake!
Lol, haven't been as far as Llanelli... they live in Pontypandy with Fireman Sam!Shortie
