Well I was glad of the miserable summer LAST year as was heavily pregnant and HUGE - in fact had the baby a year ago today. The hospital wasn't a million degrees like it normally is so that was good too.

This year however I could do with a bit of sun - having said that it has been nice here since we got back off hols so I am topping up my tan nicely! Whilest tackling the weeds and other millions of jobs that sprung up while we were away.

Not been that bad in MK over the last couple of weeks, a few periods of rain but nothing much to worry about. Had a fair bit of sun, my head has stopped peeling (own fault for not wearing a hat), trouble is that it only peeled in a few patches, so the balding pate now looks like desert camo
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

Eek! Shouldn't you get the vet out - an exploding pony will make an awful mess!

Remember going to a stables and being advised not to "go round the back of those ponies as they had been eating lots of spring grass and had colic". Their bellies were absolutely bulging, I suppose a gas build up or something, so with the methane I suppose you could have the danger of unexploded ponies. Very Pythonesque

Clocked that too! Sounds messy at the very least.

                How is Dawn these days.

Which reminds me. I had a call put through to me earlier from a Don Keables. Needless to say, when the call was put through it turned out to be on of my mates having a chuckle.

Pootles, any chance you want to go to Cork for 2 1/2 weeks around the start of August this year??!! We got brave during the couple of weeks of dry, fine weather and rebooked hols in Ireland this summer. It has rained almost constantly since.

Did get a good weeding done though on Friday as the ground was so moist that the weeds just slid out to me!!

One pony has now exploded. I have to report that he has exploded via his ar5e and I'm not kidding.

Well ok, he has an abscess where the tail joins his bum. It is indeed very messy and stinks to high heaven! Thank God for Hibiscrub and kaolin poultice - yummy!!

I have a friend married to Dawn. It doesn't half make me titter when someone says to him, 'I bet you were up at the crack of Dawn, this morning!' Juvenile, but very funny, tee hee!
