Our open gardens here has been a washout! Hmm - perhaps book it for midwinter next year.

Still, the spuds are getting watered!

                9 days to go then??

We've been painting the kitchen and morning room all day - so for a change I need to scrub off paint instead of mud in the bath!!!

Here's last years report on St Swithun's day....looks like we need to stock up on whiskey according to this report!!!!!

Surprisinly warm here and the wind of yesterday has totally dropped. Been sunny one minute today and then rainy the next. No good for getting out and gardening but you can almost hear the veg (and weeds!) growing so I'm fairly happy with it. Got drenched cycling to the shops earlier though so not all good.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

today, we have had monsoons, thunder and lightning for the last 3 hours, and nearly gale force winds ..... it is now 6pm, and looks like about 10pm ...... today i have been playing fetch with the kitten, and eating chocolate and sleeping, there are puddles all over my normally well drained garden, and i haven't even opened the door to dare and look at what my veggies are doing, thankfully i live on top of a hill, so i can't get flooded, and most of the little seedlings are under plastic, so as long as that doesn't blow away, they might be ok

Managed to get down to the plot yesterday (will hopefully update blog later), and it was quite nice - sunny with a gentle breeze. Then last night the wind picked up and I feared for those that I planted out yesterday.

Been miserable and chilly here all day today!

Made me laugh when the weather dude said something like "this area of low pressure is not what we'd normally expect for this time of year, more like Autumn" What exactly is normal for this time of year!?!

It's felt like March here today on the East Coast ... extremely windy and quite cold. I stayed in all day sewing a nice dress.

Its one season all year round now, isnt it? Its a bit summery, a bit wintry, a bit autumny and a bit springy! Maybe the British all round weather needs a new name. You guys are good at this sort of thing. Any ideas??
