  • Carnival a success - now just 2 weeks rest before summer holidays!

Had a brilliant time - it was hard work but so well worth it. We launched our logo (a pink rose in full bloom) which was one the new group t-shirt and the new business cards also containing our newly launched mission statement; "Encouraging budding crafters to bloom". Everyone seemed very impressed and I was even on the local radio station! - never been so nervous in all my life - lol - you could feel the heat of my glowing face for miles around! Mind you the crafter I was in front of and who kept making me laugh soon was glowing herself asd she was announced as the best dressed stall winner!

Have spent two days tryiong to get my breath back as it were, hence me not reporting back sooner, I as so dont want to fall ill, which my thyroid often makes me so run down the minute I do anything more than my norm. I was paniking last night as I got a lump in my throat so dosed myself up and it seems to have almost gone this am - will just have to keep an eye on it. Have now got two weeks off before I experience for the first time the madness of the summer holidays.

So glad to be back - got loadsa garden news to tell you all but one step at a time eh!

Well done Tammy glad it all went well. Was this the carnival that clashed with christening if so how did that go ?
We are being invited to OH great nieces christening in september didnt get one to the first one as Oh and his brother fell out years ago and they are both very stubborn OH has tried to appoligise ( he was at fault big time ) but to no avail. Life is too short for this sort of thing in familys.
Would be interested in finding out more about your business side of things Pm me if you can. I do a bit of craft but not much Im too impaitent !!!

Glad everything went O.K. Tammy, don't know what you were worried about! The logo & motto sound lovely, ties in nicely with your interest in gardening too!
Into every life a little rain must fall.

The christening went well. Had lots of praise for how good they both were (and hubby!) and how well Daniel is doing with his potty training at not even 3! I was well proud. I put a nice note in the card saying to little Helen how much we cherish her and how sorry I was to have missed her special day but that I think and pray for her every day. I also told her how I had the cross and chain specialy made for her when she was less than 4 weeks old and that I was glad the time had finaly come that she could have it. Brother-in-law and his wife were very pleased with the gift and appreciated the symbolism of the card I made having a cross and chain on the front as well as a dress (I sent a little dress too)

Will PM when I get a chance re craft but must get off here at mo and do dinner!

Glad it all went well for you. One tradition we have started in our family ( my sister started it when my niece was born ) is when a baby girl is born a silver charm bracelet is given with a stork to the baby and then each birthday a charm is given starting with the childs name letter then each year after a charm that denotes a hobby or something the child is into, my daughter has ballet shoes, rocking horse, cat, clarinet, amongst others as well as a double decker bus as my dad worked on the buses. these they recieve until the age of 21 years. Trouble is we havent found anything for the boys so they miss out a bit I did think coins might be a good idea but would like to find something.

Lovely pics. Tammy, great cards, some unusual ones there, love that tablecloth with the peacocks on, just wish I had a decent table to put one on & I want a little mouse with a hat on!
