The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
why? you can only drive one at a time ....... though i might get a fiesta or something for trips to the shop, and keep the hearse for special occasions ..... like going to asda or down the motorway

really?? open door, sit in seat, adjust seat, adjust mirror, put on seat belt, start engine, drive, stop car, take off seatbelt, get out, lock door ....... nope, all cars do that ..... though i wouldn't mind that one on telly that dances .... or one that transforms into a lamp post, so no one would be able to nick it
Hmm, I'd probably go for a MINI Cooper S JCW, with all the trimmings! Not much diferent from what I drive now, but the S version rather than my Works MINI Cooper (it was a tad cheaper and a lot cheaper on insurance and petrol - 10mpg more! - than the S)
Mr D would probably go for something exotic, but if it was something affordable (relatively), then possibly a MINI Cooper Clubman Diesel!
we're getting a fair amount pg from our Cooper S Mrs D - it has a silly computer thingy (as standard, I didn't fit it, honest) that tells us how much we are using
I have a car 'cos I can't get to work wivout it. My preference would be no car at all. Or MGBGT or a Morgan.

I've got the puter thing too piskie, I'm getting 40 - 45 mpg atm, and if I drive very carefully, then can get it up to 50mpg on a good run! The listed specs for the R53 Cooper S was 30-35 mpg, which as I was doing 17K miles a year when I bought it was a big difference in petrol costs!
The JCW kit on mine not only improves the mpg, but also gives much improved acceleration, I can stick with an S up to about 95mph, 0-60mph is at about 7.5sec (stock Cooper is 9.1 and stock S is 7.1sec), not bad for a girlies car is it?
