I don't hoard anything, if it's not been used for 6 months, clothes or stuff then out it goes! (or of I am feeling weak it gets boxed up and labelled for garage or loft.)
Drives OH bonkers as he's a hoarder.

The older I get the more ruthless I get with decluttering. My OH however, stashes everything in the garage that he can't bear to part with. My daughter says I don't care if you spend every penny you've got before you die but please don't leave me with the garage to sort out. So every so often I go in and reduce it by a few small items, but when it gets to the big stuff I know there will be tears!

Violating a mans shed, is like rummaging through a ladies drawers!!, we are quite attached to junk, whereas we hold little attachment to clothing.

only till you realise in 6 months that you NEED one of the bags to go with an outfit, and then you see everything else, and it all slowly migrates back to the bedroom

That's it. I'm going to get rid of 12 items in every room today. The charity people will be around tomorrow.

                        That's the spirit!

I've just finished, put the two black bags outside with the flyer on them, and now the house feels lighter. That was fun. No joke. :-)

i did that when i spring cleaned, i thought i'll clear the room, decorate, then only bring back the stuff i need ...... worked in the living room for a bit, worked everywhere really, except my bedroom, i put everything out of all the other rooms in there so i could go through it bit by bit and find it a home ....... then i started on the garden, and everythings still there in piles in my bedroom but at least it was all tidy for a couple of weeks
