Oliver has decided to get the bus to the nearest train station and then the train into central London whilst he is at this job and it is the school holidays. This means I have use of his company car and will save me a shed load in petrol - which I was starting to worry about. I had already offered to pick him up each night as train comes in nice and early at 7pm - just too late for the last bus (we really must live in the sticks now!) which leaves at quarter to! So this am when he awoke me at 7am (when I should have been getting up anyway - hols dont start till tomorrow!) to tell me that the bus had gone past with an "out of service" sign and the next wasnt for another 40 mins what did I do? I jumped out of bed (well ok I staggered!) and said I would take him - he would have been late otherwise as by the time he had unloaded the car of car seats, buggy etc. Well we got there, back, kids all dressed and breakfasted - with me yawning my head off the whole time! and now I have a whole 1/2 hour spare! Have two big things today - one to look forward to - Hannahs teacher when we give her the box we made up with; one humungous cabbage, two courgettes, one cucumber, 15 runner beans, 12 potatoes and a huge bunch of different flowers (was hoping sweet peas would provide enough for a bunch but 5 stems look pathetic!) from the garden. The other thing I am not looking forward to; I will try AGAIN to find out if test results are back - DR was chasing hosp on Mon but yesterday I was told the hosp had messaged them to say they needed info and I hadnt rung till the afternoon (which bought this fact to their attention) and of course it was my DR's 1/2 day off. Will take my mind of things this am with some gardening with my garden grandad Joe - his last day before he goes to Egypt for a month - glad my money gives him some pleasure - he works so hard on my and lots of others gardens all year.
Anyway enough waffle - what are you guys up to today?
