My scan lady ruined things a bit for us with our 3rd, by saying she could see 'the burger in a bap' No Need!!

unfortunately SarWix, at the local hospital here, commonly known as the L&D, (thats if LW & HW go there) they will not tell you the sex whatsoever, on no account - there is a reason, i cant really discuss on here, but it is horrid, my 2nd & 3rd came together and i so wanted to know if it was 2 boys or 2 girls, just for convenience sake, but they wont tell you, even so i had one of each anyway!!!

Thanks for all the messages people - I'm going to tell work today. Very exciting!

For LadyWaynes birthday, you may (or may not) remember that one of the presents I bought was a magic bean - see the significance now? I bought the bean for me to tend, as LW is tending after our bean - doing me bit see (I jest obviously!!).

The last couple of days "my" bean has sprouted and it does exactly what it says on the tin, look.........

                    and on the other side...

Sorry they're a bit rubbish photos - took them with my phone this morning before setting off for work.

Oh, and I've no idea what plant it is, but the pod is/was huge!!

Aw, that is so sweet!! We didn't have a bean (it's kinda frowned on in my family to "name" the bump so bean wouldn't have been appropriate), but we had a "chuckles" - as he/she/it was already making us so happy and giving us lots of chuckles once the kicking started - I was chuckling at the "butterfly wings" effect, and then OH was chuckling at the kicks aimed at his head some evenings (lying on the couch curled up together, his head beside the bump).

Take care when they drag you down to the pub for lunch, and enjoy it all!!

Actually, bean is more plum sized now but plum doesn't sound so cool does it.

I can safely say, that our bean will have a proper name:
