Only just found this thread Shortie chuck, been a tad busy! However, I would say that if other people have a problem with your allotment - then that is THEIR problem.

Until YOU have a problem with it, you don't have a problem. Just feel sorry for people who can't see further than their nose end and don't have the pleasure you have. Go with your heart.

Given a choice between an extra hour in bed and an hour down the allotment, I know where I would rather be, The Allotment!
When you come home after being down there for a few hours early in the morning, don't you feel like you have already done a days work, while still having a day left!!. As someone that works six days a week, its my equivalent of an extra day off. There's something about the allotment for me, time travels far quicker there than anywhere else, and yet I feel more rested coming from there than any holiday I have ever been on.
