My eldest moved to Dorset, I don't know which was worse, her going or the fact that three years later her company transfered her to their new premises, two minutes down the road from us, so she came back.

Don't think of it as goodbye, merely au revoir. I know when my daughter left home for the first time (she's an only child) I bawled my eyes out too. She's been back home to live twice since, so when she moved out again last year, only a mile away it didn't seem like a wrench anymore. Did I mention we've now changed the locks

Thanks Guys.
I now know what I put my parents through.
The only thing now is that I won;t get to see my grandchild very often when he/she is born????The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
