Ahh HW - missed this all last night and just seen the piccies.
I carried my Niece's scan around [printed into A4] for the whole duration of my SIL's pregnancy; now I have 2 nieces and they are both wonderful. I still have it [the printed scan] in the cupboard.
Just seen the lovely pics., they're great you really can see the baby clearly can't you, it's not one of those guess what the blob is types! Glad LadyWayne doesn't mind us all knowing, I think I might have killed you for telling if it was me! Hope everything goes well & don't forget you have to come home in the middle of your hols. & have the next scan so we can all see that too!
Hurrah! That looks like a boy, to me! Did you ask for the sex? Or can they not tell yet? I know nothing about scans, so I'm just making a calculated guess!
'Tis fortunate methinks that Madmax is no longer a practising radiographer
Only joking actually, he pointed out all the various bits and bobs that make it a baby - job made easy by baby Wayne(tta) lying in such an easy to view position.

Let's just hope he/she is so cooperative when born!
Did MadMax wear a dickie bow when he was radiographing?
Did MadMax wear a dickie bow when he was radiographing?
No, he wore a hip-length white tunic that fastened with poppers to one side - ooh, very sexy, honest. I have never seen Madmax wear a dickie bow tie - would be well worth a giggle
Congrats to you and LW. When my first two were born there were no scans and it had in big red capitals in the baby books "THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OF TELLING THE SEX OF YOUR BABY BEFORE IT IS BORN"
18 years later when I had the "blip", scans were rare but I had to have an amnioscentesis so scan was mandatory. No photos tho', and as I went by myself, only me, radiographer and doctor taking the amnio saw. The new hi-definition scanner had only just been installed, you usually had to pay to see your baby on that, but the radiographer felt sorry for me and showed baby on that as well. Couldn't tell the sex as baby had a leg across the vital part, and was *waving* to me.
Knew the sex 'cos of the amnio. It's my beloved youngest son that is currently giving me grief.
He will grow out of it. You will love the experience and will make wonderful parents. You have sense of humour in abundance, and, boy, will you need it .
