The instructions with the camera say to take the battery out after every use

Mum's camera uses AA batteries, and they run out quick if you leave them in the camera, even if it's switched off.
Mr Sheds has lithium batteries, and they last for ever, in or out of the camera.


PS. Have you found your Macro button, for close ups of flowers and insects?

I am a keen photographer, but FWIW I haven't used my SLR for years, and my Digi is only 6 MegaPixels, and I haven't missed it - yet!
