  • Old CD's to give away...

    Hey there

I've just moved office and I'm now going through the process of sorting through all the old junk I've just moved...including old back-up and data discs [cd-roms].

There are a lot to throw away and as I hate to put anything in the bin I wondered if there was anyone out there who would be interested in them to use on an allotment as bird scarers or something.

I would be happy to post them if anyone is interested in taking them off my hands. So far I have a pile of 21 but I've got about another hundred or so to go through and so there will be plenty more.

If nobody wants them - can anyone suggest what I can do with them as I don't want to send them to landfill.

    Cheers

    E

I don't drink that much to need 100 drink coasters....plus they're not that attractive...but I've got one under my glass of beer at the moment - thanks for the tip.

hey rat...I've given up on the driving for a while due to temporary lack of funds and I've got tons of work on at the moment and kind of want to concentrate on that for a while. Once I've been paid for the current work I'll re-book another test and get a few lessons with an onstructor to freshen me up and will hopefully pass third time around.

I like the idea of using the CD's as party invites - That's one way of getting rid of them, but means they will probably still end up in landfill. Godd idea though and I might take you up on it.

Do you know anyone who makes hand made cards? Can't remember for the life of me how she used it now but I've seen a really funky, clever one that used the silver side of a promo disc on the front of her card. Just a thought...

Glad to (maybe) help. I love all those kinds of crafts stuff but find with being busy with everything I alread o, I barely have time any more for the housework, let alone crafts!

If it works out, Esky will have an outlet for the CDs too!

Ta Dave. Funnily enough I got my craft stuff down from the loft this weekend, so that couldn't have been better timing!
