11.5C degrees (52.7F for all those who "don't do new money") this morning on my way to work!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the fact that it's raining so much, just the fact that it's doing it at the weekend - the only time I had to get any work done.

    Looks hopeful tonight mind you.

    11.5C!

    In August.

Yesterday was the first day that the weather kept me out of the garden - so I finally did a major clean and tidy of the main bedroom and bathroom.

Blimey HW, you don't half leave early for work! Do you do a milk round first?

We were near Marlow this weekend, and had gorgeous weather Saturday pm, and Sunday warm drizzle... Gotta say the flowers and fruit in the garden are looking fab, but not so good for the vegetables.

Does anyone else get a wobbly sort of headache when there's low pressure but before the rain??? Very odd!

He he, alarm goes off at 5:50, LadyWayne had left by 6:30 this morning so I could get up earlier too (she's usually out by 7). I was in the office, with my Marmite on toast going through weekend tripe emails by 7:30. I'm usually in for 7:45 so not too early really - I prefer to beat the traffic.

I live in awe of people who are early for work. When I used to work for a living, almost every morning, I'd be in the back of a black cab, hair still wet, putting make up whilst I begged the driver to go faster.

I was much happier working late, and in the end just accepted that I'd be half an hour late, and worked in the evening which was better for a quick post-work sparkly drink anyway!

I KNOW it was pathetic and I don't do it anymore...

Ah, see I quite like the idea of an after work drinky - alas working on an industrial estate it's a depressing place, and come 5 o'clock it's a mass exodus to get out of the estate and there's chuff all around here anyway.

I like to get home first anyway, get the dinner on and get some jobs done before LadyWayne gets in from work - horrible commute into t'Big Smoke against my 20/25 minute drive.

We decided not to go camping cos of the weather yet another stay at home holiday where I end up doing housework while everyone else is still in bed, or on their computers, the only time I get to go on is early mornings. Its no holday for me again.

At last British Summer Time has begun, it was a little later than usual I must admit, but it has rained everyday at some point for what seems the last 10 days.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

My peas are suffering by too much rain but the courgettes, corn and toms are lapping it up, no watering but wet harvesting some courgettes later

Listening to the weather forecast on the radio in the early hrs of this morning ( returning from France) 'they' said that a FROST was expected in Scotland in the next couple of days

....enjoy the rain whilst it's in liquid form folks!!!!!

When I let the dogs out for a wee last night before bed it was really nippy and we could actually see our breath. It's very cold and dark today and I'm wondering if I'll ever get my chillis and peppers to come to anything other than greenery.

Miserable and wet here too. Went into the greenhouse this morning, and although some tomatoes are ripening I can't see much hope for the rest (particularly those outside) any time soon. The weather forecast for the rest of the week in our area isn't fantastic and I too am wondering if my peppers and chillies will ever be anything other than green.
