Ha ha good point but I'll bet the adults would have a go too get them brain cells working
Hey look I've finished germinating
Woohoo, go seedling, go seedling, you'll be fruiting before you know it. I'm not sure what happens next for me whether I become a violin or they give me the oboe!! teehee.
OK, here it is (still need to use a bit of imagination as I wasn't concentrating when I drew it)
Anyway, as I was saying, you have a large wall with 6 holes cut out. Attach a basket/box in front of the bottom three holes (these will catch the fruit/veg). The three top holes are for the willing volunteers (the machines workings) so you can see they aren't cheating. Behind the wall and below each of the lower holes you have a bag with various fruit/veg in each (the same in each bag).
Your "contestant" pays their fee and they get as many goes as it allows - let's say they pay £1 and get three goes. The first go the three volunteers (behind the wall) count to three and then produce an item of fruit/veg from their bag and place it in the basket/box in front - a bit like rock/paper/scissors. If all three items are the same, the contestant wins the jackpot, or if they get two items etc etc.
wow that is a brilliant idea and a fantastic diagram, unfortunately i just wont have the time to do anything so complex, perhaps if we have an open day next year it will be a bit more organised.
thanks for all the great ideas i am still sticking with quiz as its easy but im also going to do a name the fruit and veg table.
