  • BBC's Grow your own show

Now then, how many of you peeps would put yourself on telly to be ridiculed ala joe swift. Not I, I'd happily be in a magazine but be on telly oh no sir, I'm really not that photogenic.

Seriously how many considered Bens top thread, and thought better of it, or how many are keen as mustard?

No, I wouldn't even consider it. But, the're are a few interesting characters on this forum that would help to inspire people to grow their own. I'd watch
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

I looked at it - but don't really fall into any of the required criteria.

Thought I'd save the licence fee paying public the expense of the BBC researcher vetting me out.

Good luck to anyone that does go for it though, I think it's a great opportunity.

I wouldn't do it. After the things I've said (or the even worse things I've thought) about TV presenters, interviewees etc on gardening programmes. Who'd willingly put themselves up there to be shot down. Just about anything you could say, someone else will say "Oh, no it isn't!"
Anyway, I'm not photogenic. I've cured 3 Peeping Toms!

I was in enough terror the other day after a request from BBC Magazines for a photo of me, apparently it is a new thing now.

They might print my comments and they want a picture of me as well.

Sent one of me disguised in the climbing beans.

                    I vote pigletwillie.

Nope, not interesting enough. Just an ordinary person doing an ordinary thing....why do we have to have 'colourful characters'? Couldn't we just (heaven forefend) have people who know what they're doing??
