I always believe that a good scrum is one you come out of with stars in your eyes, I played loose head which means I don't have those cauliflower ears.

Oh, who's been pedantic now, have a look at this, the picture forming a scrum, the props are positions 1 (loosehead, cos his head is free) and 3 (tighthead cos his head is trapped!!)

      here watch this
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

i'm not into watching sport on telly, but i do cheer my son on in footy and join in with other dads at training and we're not golfers, but pitch and putt is fun ..........

ok just read the other threads and di, this is for you!!

the PROP - in my female defenition!

A prop does eactly that, they prop up the scrum for a scrummage, i played a tight head (but wore one of those lovely hats!!) and a also played hooker the hooker in the middle is called this because they hook the ball with their legs in order to get it back to their side, behind them!

i started playing when I was 32! one of our lcal teams wanted a team and my sis, I and a couple of others met up and played against lots of ladies, but we never won, because we were older ha ha and not as fit, but the best bit was after the matches!! ha ha !! the lads always supported us and it was great fun, but extremely exhausting.

Then I became pregnant with the twins and couldnt do it anymore, too many rough tackles! I was never the fastest runner thats why i was a front row, also being that I am not the smallest girl and rather strong! I did play once after the having the twins (6 weeks later, in fact) we played a charity match against a bunch of medics from the hospital - from maternity ha ha! so i asked for my 6 week check on the field!!!! lol!!

i so love watching rugby and Bedford Blues are great to watch and a great team spirit as well, oh and the Magners at the ground is good too lol!
