Just went to get some spuds for dinner and pick the runner beans, water the greenhouse - been putting it off all day because it was raining, had to go out eventually and the heavens opened. Oh well, got a really good haul off the spuds!!

Sympathy Zazen999, OH and I are both up all night with the cough - his is much worse of course! (No it really is!)

I'm on call this weekend and had a job this morning but i came home went to the allotment and did some bits. Like dig out a giant Hogweed plant, cut back my blackberries to get access to the empty plots at the back as there has been some interest and generally was chatting with the others down there. Think I may have to soak my hands in ice water to soothe the blisters from the shears though!!

Well it chucked it down here yesterday too. The plan was to have a day off from the lottie in order to go sort out my mum's garden.....what's truly scary about that is that I'm having to think about putting it to bed for winter for her. But any gardening was out, so we just sat in her sitting room, drinking tea and watching it rain. Later we had to baby-sit, so we had a day where nothing got done on the gardening front, but we didn't really have a minute to catch up on the rainy day jobs at home either. Today is better and OH has gone to the lottie to harvest the garlic as the weather forecast seems to think that today might be the last chance until next May (well at least 'till next weekend at any rate)
