Huge congrats Yo & Bob - I missed your news yesterday in my very quick scan of the boards. Hope you start to feel better soon (I had chronic ickyness but only threw up once, and strangely, that made me feel loads better!!).

Hope the midwife sees your committment to getting the house finished on time (I am working on OH for if we ever have another to have it at home).

Mind yourselves and enjoy the next few months!!

I had #2 son at home, after a not so pleasant experience having #1 in hospital. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone; apart from the pain bit (and you can have gas&air & meptid injections at home) it was a great experience. The house being a tip doesn't matter really, so long as your bedroom & bathroom are clean & reasonably tidy, and they bring a pack with most stuff you will need a few weeks before your due date. You may not necessarily end up with your regular midwife for the actual birth - you'll get whoever is 'on-call' if it all starts in the night (which it often does ) but 99% of them are lovely anyway.

Milly (#3) was booked to be born at home, but when she was 2 weeks overdue they said I had to be induced in hospital, wasn't a happy bunny, but it was a lot better than 1st, mostly coz I knew what I was doing I suspect!

Many, many congratulations to you both. I had all 3 of my children at home and would definitely recommend it (although of course I have nothing to compare it with!). But the experiences were gentle and relaxed, even when things didn't go quite according to plan. OH said he felt he had a real part to play, not just hand holding!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

Lmao, the boobfairy, never heard that one, got to agree I didn't change boob size throughout wore the same bra size, but I did a few days after giving birth, must be the same experience that people have after having boob jobs, nothing there one minute and then boom!!!!! I actually thought the boob pain was worse than the labour pain, maybe me but went in 2 weeks late to be induced to say my waters had broken and was already 3cms dilated

Sorry I missed your news the other week Yo an Bob! Congratulations, glad everything went well at the scan & hope your morning sickness is getting better now not worse.
Perhaps I should have tried having a baby, maybe I'd have ended up with more than an 'A' cup!
