Its 6am and I have been up for hours cant sleep too hot even with a fan on ( its my age ) my arm aches, my mind is spinning with rubbish as I havent really got any worries only the normal things. Supposed to be on holiday so that means lie in's, IF ONLY. If I go back to bed I only fidget but I feel tired but know I wont sleep. This keeps happening night after night and I am fed up with it, might try some sleepeze tonight and see if that helps. I just want one decent night's sleep.

Hi Jackie
Me too. Night after night I wake up at about 2.30, lie awake for hours, if I'm lucky I get off again. Then there are nights like last night. Ho hum, at least the ironing's getting done.
Got a day and a half of it at work, and it's not easy when you feel like you're wearing moon boots!
Hope you have a better one tonight. Nytol usually helps for me, or night nurse really does the job, but it leaves a bit of a hangover the next day

Well I've been on the net for the past hour- cat sprawled across my forearms as I'm trying to type!!!!
Frustrating isn't it!!.... went to bed at midnight as I thought I'd be tired enough to sleep on.
Thinking of moving to France ...so lots going on in my head
Perhaps we should have a 'During the night chat' as well as 'Sunday night chat'!!!!!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Trouble is once i'm awake then i'm awake and I dont do anything just watch telly or come on here, sometimes I might fall asleep on the sofa but thats uncomfortable, then i'm moody, I used to blame it on my OH cos he snores but now that he has a cpap machine i can't blame him.

My OH was diagnosed with sleep apnia he stops breathing and then starts again, it's worth seeing your gp to see if he/she thinks you have it. My Oh had to stay overnight in a sleep centre to be monitored.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak

Wish it were Jackie...no - he's just a noisy soul!!!! ( bless- he says he's not snoring- it's just a gentle purr- he knows cos he can hear himself!!!!!!)
Tis my head wot's the problem- I can usually sleep through it so long as the birds don't wake me up; the cats don't jump on me;I don't need a pee and my brain doesn't wake me with a sudden thought. Once awake and it can take anything from 1/2 to 2 1/2 hrs to drift off again.
Well- it's Monday morning time now ....a new week...lets hope it's a dryer one this time eh????"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Try your Doctors... as once you start this 'trend' the longer it goes on the harder it is to break!
Wishing you all a good nights sleep

Got a good nights sleep last night and I forgot to take anything, I woke up but went back to sleep unusual for me. But some b****y idiot decided to start beeping the horn at 7.15 am why do people do this. Just cos they are up and about doesnt mean everyone is. I work nights and I never make a noise during the day just in case someone is in bed trying to sleep. Saturdays here is a nightmare and its not kids its adults who are noisy. Our nextdoor neighbours dont know how to be quite even late at night. I went back to bed at 7.30 am yesterday and got up at 11 am.
So one good nights sleep hope I can make it two.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
