You are lucky at least the BBC say you may have sunshine, mine has forecast rain for the next 5 days, great!

Nice sunny day here too (so far) - although the temperature (albeit warm for them Shetlanders and alike) isn't very Augustial. Just gustial.

How long it lasts is another question.

We're at a house warming barbecue on Saturday - looks like it might just be an oven warming instead - but then it wouldn't be a proper British barbecue without rain would it?

Managed to mow the lawn today, good job as it was about 2/3 inches long in some places, as I haven`t managed to mow for nearly 2 weeks. I had to raise the blade as the mower couldn`t cope.
I had to do it today as green bins are collected tomorrow and I`m going on holiday on Saturday for a week, it would of been a jungle by the time I got back.

Wish the council collected green waste here. If it doesnt go on the compost then iys a 7 mile trek to the tip.
Didnt rain today till I tried to eat lunch in the garden!
At least I got some weeding done and the new veg patch dug over.

Our council is very good at recycling.
                        We have
2 green wheelie bins for garden waste and cardboard
                        1 black wheelie bin
                        1 box for paper
                        1 box for glass/cans.
They collect green bins one week and black bin the next
                        boxes are collected every week
The only thing they do not collect is plastic bottles, but we have 7 yes 7 small skip like containers on one of the village car parks.
I go there once a fortnight with a binbag full of them.
