Have just turned the heating on having come in from the rain house is freezing
I did that last night. Turned it off before I went to work this morning .
However, I went for some retail therapy after work and on my way home there were two vivid rainbows (with other faint ones). They lasted the whole 20 minutes home .
Wish I'd had my camera with me!!

its terrible, got up this morning and the rain was dreadful, went on our trip to chessington and not a drop all day, so lucky, but it did feel like October, instead of August!
On Sunday, I got a sunburn on the back of my neck digging the bed for the cauliflowers. Today, there was a distinct Autumnal feel in the air as I dug up my potatoes. Now, I have a craving for spiced wine..
Totally misjudged this a.m when to see to chooks!waited &waited for rain to ease, when I finally went it absolutely P'd it down~until I got home when it stopped!!But I've been cold all day! We're camping at the w/e so Please please please make it stop!!!

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
Rain here too but some sunshine as well. I went to the lottie and had to take cover in my shed a few times but managed to get some digging done. Also picked four large courgettes beetroot two red cabbages and two white ones.
Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache
It feels like autumn; and I've just taken my fuchsia and pelargonium cuttings for next year's hanging baskets. It rained all day y'day. This morning we have sun, so I'm off to the lotty pronto.

Sunny here too - but the car said 12.5/13 degrees at 7:15 this morning.
The wind and rain have played havoc with the garden. Yesterday lost large pieces of a dahlia to the wind, one sunflower snapped off near the base and on Sunday a large pink cosmos snapped off at the base too. Please make it stop before I lose all the beans as well....
Was a mere 15 degrees on my drive home - 5:30 ish. Dark too.
15 degrees is a balmy summer day here. Was such yesterday and I was out in shorts and sleeveless T doing the dead heading. You lot need to toughen up abit
