hello

has anyone else suddenly found a fascinating interest in a sport they have never watched before during the olympic coverage. was watching Judo this morning have not got a clue how the scoring works but was mesmerised

I find it a little annoying that they seem to show an event in the morning, then the same thing is shown when you get in from work, then it seems the same thing again just before bed time.

We won the copper medal in that I think. Ver degree in which we won was fantastic!

I just find it totally ironic that our Olympic cyclists are (rightly) revered, while your average Joe/Jane on a bike is perceived as a backward moron.

Someone walking down the street with a bow and arrow would also bee seen as a bit "troublesome" - yet they're perfectly acceptible on the Olympic stage.

just watched the canoe white water slalom. Never bothered before but kept watching to see if our woman got through to final alas she missed out.

Well what have I watched that normally I wouldn't bother.

Rowing (can't stand oxford cambridge boat race!)
Canoeing C1 and K1
Archery
Clay shooting (really difficult to follow)
Eventing (and I've been glued to it like my life depended on it)
Cycling (tour de france at a real push, but could take it or leave it, yet I've been jumping around the room hysterical)
Swimming (it isn't a rivoting participation sport yet I 'm glued to the exploit of phelps!)
Judo
Boxing (amateur boxing, no pro's only top notch, yet I've watched most of it)
Weightlifting
Fencing (come on does anyone watch this normally)
Badminton (only normally love playing it)

Well it just goes to show that until the end of the first week when athletics start, there is very little on the telly that would normally make it anywhere near the box, outside of the olympics. Its a right good show though, I'm loving it.
