I like the gymnastics & bars. Also D really wants to see the synchronised swimming(but I've forgotten when it's on~hopefully not this w/e!)But not too bothered by the rest.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
me and my twin Mikey have watched loads - but not together as several hundred miles apart.
Hey Mikey, i was out yesterday and got in and put on iplayer and watched the last part of the eventing and i even cried for Tina Cooke and her Bronze, bigup to Team GB, so far they are going great.
By the way, i even watched the ladies weight lifting, OMG that chinese woman lifting over 25 stone, my god thats more than i weigh, just ha ha !!
judo is fab! my son goes to judo and is becoming very very good at it! not what i thought about this sort of thing when we first took him. excellent for kids! exercise, discipline, respect for others etc
I think the highlights are absolutely CRAP! Loops of the same poxy events time after time. Just how much SWIMMING do people want to see? Are the listings compiled by some man-starved nympho or something?!?
I'm glad someone is watching it. Goodness only knows how many 'bods' the BBC has sent to Beijing. Me and my OH - well I think I would rather clean the oven (yeah - I find the Olympics THAT dull).
I used to be a swimmer / modern pentathlete many moons ago and swimming is one of the richest sports around, I can only guess this is why they show so much. In some events there are 2-3 officials to 1 competitor, shocking. I am dreading to think what 2012 is going to cost us all in the long run.
I don't think personally that London having the Olympics will do us any favours, we struggle to help the poor, the elderly and keep our streets and hospitals clean, the Olympics is only going to put a greater strain on an already stretched country. Having said that I was glued to the mens gymnastics this afternoon.
