just want to vent my disbelief, due to the fact that I am currently visiting the outlaws in Slovakia for a week and thought that I could keep up with the olympics etc using the iplayer, but although I have a TV licence for which they charge an extortionate amount I can't watch anything online from the BBC outside the UK. I thought the Beeb were meant to be at the forefront of digital broadcasting but can't even manage to sort programmes out that are viewable even in the rest of the EU. annoyed slightly.

I've tried a few times but needless to say, we can't get the BBC iplayer in Ireland either - it would seem to be such a simple piece of technology these days, I thought at first there'd be no prob with it.
Anyway, I shouldn't complain because I've got an Irish TV licence which doesn't benefit the Beeb. However, Channel 4 have no probs spreading the word - I get their catchups through channel4.com - watch online with no bother for programmes during the previous 7 days + older progs on www.channel4.com/4ODLast edited by maytreefrannie; 16-08-2008, 10:40 AM.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)
