All looks a tad bit confusing~but then I only had a quick look! From what I could make out there's 4 within 2miles from us so maybe when the rain stops we'll go on a treasure hunt!?
We found a book once which was left for someone to find~you had to take it home, write a little message about what you thought of it & then leave somewhere for someoneelse to find.

This has been going on for years in the Peak District, there's even a Stephen Booth novel that has this as a central part of the plot.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

They do it in some government agencies too - only with the technology available these days, they've found it easier to leave laptops.

This is indeed cool Heywayne - thanks Seasprout.

Eh up Piskie, there are loads around us - Fancy a walk one day to look for a tupperware box?

Just be mindful, they are not all Tupperware boxes, apparently there's one near me that's a Tic Tac box. !!

Friend of ours from Sheffield is a Geocatcher - she came up to visit recently and she and Iona (my 7year old daughter) searched for and found four in and around Inverness - including two Geo Coins - one originating in USA and the other in Finland. Natalie (our friend) took the coins back to Sheffield as neither coin had been to England yet.

                      It looks interesting.
My OH who has no sense of humor thinks its sad but my son Kyle who is 13 and me are going to try it soon as there is one near the canal not far from my house. It would be a good walk for the dogs.

I'm surprised that people don't know about this hobby. It intrigues me but I haven't done anything about it. There are 4 caches within half a mile of me. Two of them are about to be building sites, what happens then?

Haven't done anything yet - when the weather's been good enough to go outside, I've either been doing some gardening or been down the plot.
