Charlie sounds like my Alfie, 17 and ginger howls for food constantly. Our old cat Wizz used to bring home half eaten rabbits, one day she ate the whole front half and dropped the rear at the feet of a friend who'd come to dinner

No, I have to disagree. Cat sick is infinitely more disgusting. At least with the right diet, cat poo is easier to clean up!! I think it's the plehm (look, I just typed that 3 different ways and they all look wrong, so if it's spelt wrong, well, tough!!!) -like consistency that does it for me. That and it's always a distinctive 'cat-vomit yellow'.

My friend has a really fat fluffy cat who get's all sorts caught in her belly fur. She came home from work one day, let the cat in the back door and followed her in. She then proceeded to slip on the floor and went flying across the kitchen. She'd stood on a fat slug that had dropped of the cats fur. My pal was lying in a pile on the floor and the slug's innards hit the kitchen plinth. Eeeow!

EEEEUUUUUUWWWWW!!! To all of this thread!
Cat sick - I would have thrown the lot out.... I've had 3 kids, worked in a nursing home, dealt with all sorts of nastiness, but vomit I still can't handle
And as for the slug things... If I stand on a slug or snail with my big boots on, I can't put my foot down again for about 10 minutes without it curling up... Euww Eeeeuwww Eeeeeeuuuuuwwwwww!!!

lol, i'm ok with cat sick ...... but just the sound of a person puking, i'm gonna lose my lunch. ...... feel dead sorry for my son, cos hes never had anyone rubbing his back when he pukes, ..... but the good thing is, cos he knows he's to clean it up himself ..... however drunk he is, he's never missed the toilet bowl

hahahahaahhaa ive just read all of this thread and im literally laughing out loud.
I would normally retch at the thought of slugs squidging between toes but since this gardening lark im much tougher haha, ill only barefoot garden when its dry though 8-) I did pick a snail up without gloves on the other day. by the shell i know but im always afraid the little pointy things on its head will touch my fingers.

I don't have any nice (or even gross) thoughts to add to all of your sufferings (although, I will admit to barefoot gardening at home occasionally), but I just wanted to say Hello again and this thread really feels like what I have missed for the past few weeks on hols.
(And while the garden is very green and we had lots of mangetout gone to peas, I have no reports on plot yet as it was far too wet to venture there yesterday, I may get there tomorrow if it stays dry in the meantime.)
I hope you all haven't been flooded out the way we have been here.
