The world of buggies and alike is heightist!

Quite right HW, I'm 5' 10" and it still hurt my back when pushing a pram/buggy, had to stoop a little, but there are so many more on offer now, maybe one with adjustables handle for height etc?

My first pram was a big silver cross carriage pram. A Proper pram. It was huge the top we put on the back seat not strapped in didnt have to 29 years ago, the wheels went in the boot of a Ford Granada not much space left but the wheels came off if you wanted to. Trouble was when I had son no 2 he was in the pram son no 1 sitting on a seat that went across the body loads of shopping underneath There I was crossing the road and one wheel decided to come off in the middle of the road, I'm trying to get to the other side on three wheels and not lose anyone or any shopping, eventually someone came to my aid. needless to say I got a smaller pushchair still quite big compared to today's standard which I think most of which are not good for young babies, I like to see them lying down not propped up.

definately take them for a test drive, I used to kick the bar and wheels of our pram frequently, they are so designed for you to walk as though you are on a balance beam, and not legs slightly apart!

There's a place that lets you do just that - we've test driven loads, Collapsed and erected almost every buggy in the shop and I like you, had loads where - because of my stride length, I ended up kicking the axle/chassis of several we tried. The place we've visited lets you take the buggy out and try it in your car, walk around outside, negotiate doorways, steps, curbs etc. The one we like ticks more boxes than any of the others. I have to say that the Mamas and Papas ones are probably my least favourite - heavy, cumbersome and not that easy to use.

I persuaded LW that we should get the pram attachment bit for that very reason - laid down with plenty of space to move about.

The "seat" bit can be propped up, laid down, facing you, facing away, extended....

I'm not sure it makes a cup of tea, but I'm sure it won't be long before the next model does.

The same happened to me with the double buggy~sept I was 1/2 way down the slope of an underpass~pouring with rain~total nightmare & unfortunately several miles from home & Andi was at work!

We used the cot for day sleeping in the lounge, as it was a pain to take DD up and down the stairs in the day for a nap, not for her but for us, every time she grumbled, off we went up and down, up and down, no fun when you are sleep deprived.

That almost put me off to be honest. I didn't want people to think we were buying it because it appeared in Sex & the City (which I found out when doing some online research for the buggy). But then when we weighed up all the pros and cons of the others we were looking at - it won hands down.
