I remember Mum saying about this when I was a child, that she was paying VAT on my clothes from the age of about 11 I think. My trousers were bought and the hems were turned up to about my knee with huge waistbands that I never fitted into. Then as I grew I had an ever increasing numer of hemlines on the bottom of my trousers as they were let down time and time again! The amount of times I heard "why don't you invite your trousers down for tea" or "are you expecting a flood?"

Don't mean to worry you but when I left school I was 6ft4-5.

Totally agree there! It's the rate they grow and the amount of babygrows/bibs you get through plus other things like nappies lol. Must admit I started with the 'theme thingy' matching bouncy chair etc etc and then gave up when I realised how little they get used. I just bought anything then to get through the next few weeks.

I did dude, doesn't mean he wants the whole world to know he knits!!

My sister is part of a knitting club, where they go round someones house chat and all knit around a table. The whole concept is clean off if you ask me.

Most of what we have is pink for DD, though I drew the line at a pink buggy just incase we had another child and they weren't a girl.

Thats scarier than a Stephen King novel. In fact she is already in adult clothes size 6-8 and I need to get new shoes for the new term

They take up far too much space in the boot, in shops etc to be practical long term. After about 15 months you really need a lightweight model like a mcclaren, for popping to the shops rather than a full body armour job that suits a small nipper.

It will all become apparant the minute you start trying to negociate clothes in shops, you soon realise that apart from M&S, Debenhams, John Lewis, ie large department stores, which have plenty of aisle space, the smaller shops river island, next etc do not cater for a buggy, and you end up standing in the doorway while the OH goes inside.

I now believe there is a reason why so many middle aged people shop in M&S, its because shopping elsewhere became too difficult with a buggy!!
cor do you like shopping MW - we went shopping once with the twins in Milton Keynes and OH got so fed up with the buggy, we left with a new one!!

Oh dear, I've gone and shot myself in the foot haven't I. I don't mind shopping perse aslong as there is a purpose, I don't however like going into the same shop more than once, so this makes me a very poor shopping partner for all except other men.

oooooooooooooooooo HW nice choice of buggy, i loooove it! and it looks quite tall as well which is great for you longuns!

i had a buggy when i was a childminder called a Marco Sky and was very very good, it was a double, but the size of a single, but the good thing was, it had high handles for tall people and my mate had it off me and she is 6'3" and she loved it!

But loving the buggy very very sleek and looks light and funky!
