First time I've seen 'em - what a pair of condescending unfunny clowns!

I love those 2. Maybe it wouldn't look as good if I hadn't seen so much of their previous stuff, but they CAN cook, they ARE fun, and they are always willing to learn. I liked the subtle touch of Camberwick Green at the windmill, but that was presumably the editor's doing<g>

I didn't enjoy this episode as much as I have their other series that they have done for some reason.
I have already searched the recipes though cos I quite fancy making brown bread that I can eat as opposed to build houses with.

Wish I'd seen it before the camping & I may have been inspired to try the naans outdoors. The brown bread they made did look good too, although didn't fancy the last one~ale & cheese.

If I want to make 'brown' bread it is wholemeal. I don't like compromise versions (just me). The trick is to give it plenty of rising time after shaping. I usually prefer to do a 'tin' loaf (when I don't take the lazy option and use the breadmaker), but all sorts are possible.

Flour and its various types is a very complex and confusing thing, what I once believed to be healthier types of bread aren't. This is a BBC site which clarifies the various bread types and their uses, opened my eyes up to a couple of alternatives I hadn't considered before.

                    Not their best episode.

                    Hope the series improves.

The Guardian was very sniffy about it. Himself and I watched it and roared laughing several times. Sorry folks, but I like them. They enjoy what they're doing and enjoy their food.

Think it's a sad case of celebs getting a reputation for being funny & then trying a little too hard to keep it up!That said I enjoyed it & had a few giggles!!Also has inspired me to try making my own naans~have had recipe for ages but it's always looked too much of a faf to do~but seeing as they managed outside in the rain can't be that tough!
