Oh wow, I'm loving your feedback on this thread.
andi&di....grumpy chocky buttons then?! big hug honey.X.
My cake was dry enough this evening to do a 'stint' on (had it in its box with about 3 million zillion silica gel sachets last night under the bedroom chair so that cat didn't jump on it, if you're interested?!) so, as of today, it's now going what we call : GREEAATT! and I'm dead chuffed with it.

Oh, and I'm dead chuffed to see my Flobalob's Uncles Mikey and Heywayne are enjoying themselves here too? Not giving anything away or nuffink..... you two should watch this thread and my BLOB carefully over the next few days?

I've been to the Festival of Quilts over the last few days - did loads to make people smile, as they did for me! I nagged our internet quilt group (12 people) into entering for the Group Quilt section. Needed lots of harrassment on my part to get them to send their quilt blocks to me, I had to assemble and but borders on, then another group member quilted and bound it. You should have seen the proud smiles when they all saw it hanging ther in a 'propper' quilt show!

I also entered my first quilt there this year, having only gone to spectate previously. Makes ya feel right proud!

EXCELLENT Flummery! and thank you SO SO much for my pickies of The Flobs, which came via Snail Mail yesterday. They're incredibly good. I'm dead impressed.... as I always am with wot you do.

With my 'Not a Chocky Button In Sight Novelty Cake' for tomorrow's Show....
        I'VE FINISHED IT !!!!!
It spent a good five hours in The Happy Couple's Airing Cupboard yesterday, whilst Auntie Wellie's little TWINKLE TOES (Xanthe) taught me not just Raspberry Blowing, but Award-Winning Raspberry Blowing, and then, her and me fought over who wore the most Spinach, Courgette & Cheese Baby Food whilst we waited.... you get the picture?!

Still, with all the trials and tribulations of this year and its' growing peculiarities, I feel 'up for' challenging The Lovely Frenchman (Monsieur Dubois) in The Ayleburton Fruit & Veg Show tomorrow, and strangely enough, I feel rather calm. I think it's called Pinot Grigio Children! But I must say, the time I've taken, and the things I'm entering into The Show, this year, have given me an ENORMOUS amount of pleasure to produce.
It's nice that it's a Bank Holiday this weekend.... more time to be creative in updating you with what we've been doing behind the scenes!

Oh my God!! I forgot to put the Choccie Button on! (see Wellie hunt round for one of BC's Catnip Choccie Buttons wot Hazel at The Hill gave her for Christmas?!) And actually, for a giggle, I'm very going to find it a place.

No - I can do Shiraz too - it's just greedy in the same glass, that's all?!

The Show is most definitely tomorrow. And I can exclusively reveal that Liza Flobalob is in labour as we speak (but I expect her uncle Heywayne and Mikeywills are way past their bedtime to be there by her side? typical!) so that's why I'm still up and about, holding her hand (muddy as it is...).

andi&di, I am giving your hoover serious thought. It's important.
It's as important as the Gordons' Gin Bottle I once did, but more dusty, obvioiusly....

That explains why I am finding it so hard getting up in the morning and walking down the stairs. Its cos I is a grampa.

Well I'm still surprised that you've managed to keep your elephant-sized gob schtum on this one, my dear... Tee hee!

Hey! You jus' know I've got all my fingies and toesies crossed, and those of the cat, and the other cat, which has made them grumble very much, but they will forgive you if your catnip-choccy-drop-cake is the massive success that I know that it will be.

Love n' that, my darling girlie, and news and piccies all round when you are ready...?

                            I should CoCo!

Ready as ready can be sweetart, and no mistake!
I've closely been attending to your HOME PAGE my darling, and I'm dead impressed. I'm sorry to be 'holding back' a touch myself, but I've been concentrating too hard and trying to find a Catnip Choccie to put on my 'Not a Chocolate Button In Sight Novelty Cake' from the 'Untidy Drawer'?!

I'm happy to report that Fert'n'Liza's newborn is coming to The Ayleburton Show with me toady, and he's really really cute?
You're going to LOVE his funky trainers....
Anyhow. I must nod off now if I'm going to be any use to Freddie Flobalob in a few hours. Goodness knows that Nigella Lawson would be completely ashamed of my efforts at being a Domestic Goddess.... and Paul Hollywood would NOT employ me as his Master Baker.....The Kitchen is a complete mess. Trousers thinks I'm completely NUTS and and Freddie's two mini-me scones are WAY too better than my grown-up ones!
                            Ooh! not long now!

Only just getting around to reading this thread! Good luck today Wellie!

I should (hopefully) bring a smile to 2,500 people's faces in December. Yep its panto time and I am producing and directing this year again. Got my principals, chorus and stage set all sorted. Just got to get everybody moving and singing in the right directions over the next few weeks before the fun starts with costumes, lighting and special effects. It is always worth all the effort to hear the laughter in the Theatre especially that one little child who gets a fit of the giggles!
