I kind of fancy the idea of all my friends standing up and headbanging to this as the curtains close.

Being a believer, I want my favourite hymn "And can it be". As a second choice "Guide me oh Thou great Jehovah". Both rousing triumphal hymns, that do NOT go with sadness!

My mum's funeral we played ' wish me good luck as you wave me goodbye ' at least I think thats what it was.
My sisters funeral we played 'Annies song ' her name was annie.
I dont know what I will chose.

This is my favourite song & I'd like it played at my funeral.
            YouTube - Aerosmith - I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing
I'd also like Take That 'Rule the World', Coldplay 'Fix You' & there's a couple off Moby's 'Play' album which I love too...gonna be a long funeral!
I also want to be cremated in a wicker or similar coffin & my ashes scattered/buried in a wood!
Into every life a little rain must fall.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Not really bothered - the music played at funerals is for the people still alive, not those in the box.

Benny Hill theme tune would be quite cool to be carried in with though - raise a few smiles at least.

Yeah, but I reckon the other one is, in some ways, even better, because of my favourite line in the last verse (sadly amended out of the latest hymn books) "Death of death, and Hell's destruction" what better could you ask for in a funeral hymn?

"Morning Has Broken" and "I Will Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving In My Heart" for me.
A friend who died too young of cancer chose "Always Look On THe Bright Side Of Life"

Not sure what I'd have. I know OH would want Duran Duran. He wants to rot, not burn, so maybe not View to a Kill!

Quite fancy Ride of the Valkyrie! Hmmm will have a think!

OH wants Ace of Spades (motorhead) with everyone playing along on air guitar.......?

Quite like the idea of Flight of the Valkyres too!

One way ticket to hell by The Darkness is tempting, cos that's where granny always said I was going anyway.
