            Thank you all so much.
We've just come back from an evening out with our new friends and neighbours who seem thrilled we are moving out here.

Going to be a bit strange for a while, but I'm going to have to really concentrate on improving my French. I only just scraped a pass at O level and hardly used it since until we bought this house 18months ago.
I'm not a natural linguist compared to others who seem to recall a new word with ease - I need reminding many times. Slowly slowly...I'm determined to get there!

Maybe my natural talent for yabbering will help me along????
Until then my OH - who is nearly fluent -will have to help me

I was going to say it was something to do with the locations, but only because I couldn't think of anything else!!! Good luck with your French adventure - sounds bliss!

Fab news! Really pleased for you. Try watching Eddie Izzard doing 'Dress to Kill' in French, I've learned all sorts of phrases like 'le sange a sur le branch,' etc and if that doesn't work 'Quoi?' is a useful pregnant-pause filler.

And what list is this on the Home page???? I've never noticed it!

Word of warning re the language!(as I found out on an exchange trip at the age of 14!)
Just an "en"means all the difference between "I'm full" & "I'm pregnant"!!

That's about the limit of my French too, I haven't used it since French 'O' Level either!
