Sadly don't know anyone with a metal detector. Gonna go through the bin at the weekend, shouldn't be as bad as it sounds as I only started putting stuff in the bin yesterday. My main concern is if its not in the bin I don't know where else to look
and theres loads on ebay ...... if you don't find it by looking, it's gonna be cheaper than buying a new ring, which sentimentally wouldn't feel right to me
Or you may be able to hire a metal detector in your local area.
Some years back, my children and friends wanted to dig up a "time capsule" they'd buried ten years before - needless to say, it wasn't where they'd thought they'd left it. After a few weekends of fruitless attempts, they hired a metal detector from a tool hire company - can't remember what it cost, but it was very cheap; they were all in late teens at the time and wouldn't have paid out very much.
All best wishes for finding your ring - let us know, please.
My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)
Hope you find it ,I was real lucky a few weeks ago I lost my Mums wedding ring I wear on my pinky as my parents died 2yrs ago just 2 weeks apart.
I thought lost it in a garden and remember it started to rain heavy and I had a job getting off my garden gloves to roll off and and forgot to wash them .
So a few days after went to get my gloves to wash as left them out in the rain and good luck ring was stuck inside.
Hope you find it at the weekend Danny. Are you in bad books for losing it?
When we were married 27 years ago I think (oops) we were to stoney broke to afford rings. I borrowed one that I could slip onto my wifes finger during the ceremony and then returned it the next day. To this day niether of us has had a wedding ring.
