    Morning Snuffer,

Went through the compost yesterday, no luck. To be honest the compost thing was just one of the tasks I did on the day it was lost!
    Cheers

No idea I'm afraid. I had a tendency to fiddle with it! Funny it feels so strange without it, I'd better purchase some "worry beads" to fiddlie with.
        Cheers

I "thought" I'd lost mine a while back.I have a tendancy to take them off & put somewhere"safe"when doing certain jobs.Well I went a few months not knowing where my last "safe" place was & really believed I must've chucked them out with the veggie peelings!(& I wsan't about to rummage through several months of compost!)The other day I made some pretty little jam tarts & topped with some ickle cut out stars & hearts & what was hiding in the tin?So just a thought~could you have taken it off to do something & just forgotten the "safe" hiding place? All the best of luck!

Gosh helly- what a useful idea!!!!

( perhaps I should ask one of them how to show me how to use mine properly!!)

When we stayed on the English side of Hadrian's Wall a few years ago the local farmer asked us to use our metal detector to try and locate some rifles his great-grandfather had hidden, wrapped in oilskins.
We couldn't find them ,but we left the detector with him for the day when we went out sight seeing. Needless to say he didn't find them ( probably because our instructions on how to use the darned thing were wrong!!) He did find bits of shot and a tractor pin he'd lost years ago and clearly didn't do any farming chores that day!!!
Plied with 'over the border' whisky , we all had a contented night's sleep that day!

And no....we wouldn't have used the detector anywhere near the Wall as it's a restricted area, and there are some rules I wouldn't even consider breaking.

It's over in France at the moment as we own a small field there and thought it'd be a great place to explore- until the neighbours mentioned unexploded ammunition !!!( the road was used to store 600 trucks fully loaded with ammunition in WW2)
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

                Location....Normandy France

Might seem a daft question broadway, but did you wear any gloves on that day?

I'd go and check the insides of the gloves if you did.

Guaranteed it'll be in the last place you look.

Seriously (if I may), good luck finding it - I'd be distraught.

Lost my wedding ring 2 weeks after getting married. We were moving house at the time. The ring was too big and hadn't been altered yet. Had been to the tip as well so thought it may be lost forever.
Found it a week later when I unpacked the computer in the new house. Had it altered to fit quicky damn quick after that.
                          Hope you find yours soon.

I'm so pleased for you Broaway - and as Lynda says, get it sized to fit so that you don't loose it again.
